SALISBURY DISTRICT BEAVERS ACTIVITY DAY 21st SEPTEMBER

26th September 2014

SALISBURY DISTRICT BEAVERS ACTIVITY DAY 21st SEPTEMBER

On Sunday the 21st of September Beavers from 7 Colonies within Salisbury District descended on Downton Scout Hut for a day of Fun and Activities.

The morning was spent learning camp skills for one of the new badges they are able to gain. Skills included helping to put up a tent, pioneering, fire lighting, camp blankets and how to tie a reef knot.

In the afternoon we held our own Commonwealth games with the Beavers joining in with archery, sack races, an obstacle race, throwing the javelin,  frisbees and skipping.

In true scouting style the events of the afternoon concluded in a singsong around the camp fire.

ADC Beavers Graham Murrell said this was a great day for the Beaver Scouts who attended to learn new scouting skills and about the commonwealth whilst enjoying the fun and games provided throughout the afternoon.
